FAQ

Buyer questions answered

What is the difference between natural and bright apricots?

Natural apricots are dried without sulfur — they are darker (deep amber to brown) with a more intense, slightly tangy flavor and shorter shelf appearance. Bright apricots use food-grade SO₂ within EU limits to preserve the vivid orange color preferred by some retail markets. Both come from the same orchards and meet the same MRL standards.

Can you guarantee EU MRL compliance?

Yes — every export lot is screened against the current EU MRL list for pesticide residues. We provide accredited lab reports with each shipment, and any lot that fails EU limits is redirected to domestic or non-EU markets, never re-mixed.

What is the typical shelf life and storage advice?

12 months ambient at 4–18°C in sealed packaging. In tropical climates, refrigeration is recommended to prevent sugar bloom and to hold the orange color on bright lots. After opening, reseal and use within 60 days for peak texture.

Do you supply pitted halves for industrial bakery?

Yes — pitted halves are available in 10 kg or 12.5 kg cartons for use in muesli, energy bars, compotes, and tagines. Whole pitted is the default; diced and slivered formats can be cut to spec on a 1-ton MOQ.
