FAQ

Buyer questions answered

Are your dried figs sulfur-free?

Yes — our Estahban figs are sun-dried with no sulfur dioxide or added preservatives. This is a key selling point for organic and clean-label retailers in Europe and North America. SO₂ is tested at < 10 ppm in every export lot.

Do you offer organic certification?

Yes — we have orchards certified to EU Organic and USDA NOP standards, with allocation also available under JAS (Japan) and COR (Canada) on request. Organic volume is limited; please confirm allocation early in the season.

What is the difference between AAA Jumbo, AA, and Industrial Paste?

AAA Jumbo is 25–30 mm diameter, white-to-light-amber, premium retail. AA Standard is 20–25 mm, the export workhorse. Industrial Paste is broken or off-color figs ground or chunked for bakery filling, fig rolls, and energy bars — same orchard, same SGS report, lower price per kg.

Do figs require any pre-treatment before retail packing?

We steam-clean and metal-detect all export lots before bulk packing. For retail trays, light hand-flattening shapes the figs into the classic disc that consumers expect. We can do this finishing in-house on your private-label MOQ.
